The question of the day: Does the beagle have a brain?
We might find out.
The vet wants to remove the cyst, which means surgery. It's a cyst, possibly a tumor but he does NOT expect it to be cancer. But because it's not really improved and is, in fact, larger, he feels like it needs to come out. I am going to call them in the morning and schedule the surgery. I want to get it done as soon as possible and the vet agrees. We'll have to drop her off on the morning of the surgery, which will be really fun because she isn't going to be allowed to eat that day and she'll be frantic. Then I'll pick her up late that afternoon. She'll have a shaved patch on her head. He'll use regular stitches for under the skin and surgical glue on the top layer of the skin with the hope that Frasier won't be able to cause a healing problem when he grooms her.
But she won't have to wear the Cone of Shame at least. However, we might want to put one on Frasier just because!
But I still think that the beagle's little skull is empty.
