Otter has new glasses! She can see again! Actually, she could see before but those glasses were a couple of years old and there were a few minor changes in her vision. So we got her eyes examined this afternoon and she got a new pair of glasses. She chose plastic ones this time, she was tired of metal frames. I think she's had metal frames from when she first had to start wearing glasses in 4th grade. The place we went to did have the flexible ones, but they didn't have any that looked good on her (in her opinion). But she chose a nice pair. They are a dark greyish color.
Her eyes were dilated, which she hates but it's necessary. The doctor said that her eyes look very healthy, so she isn't complaining about the dilation. Well, not too much anyway! While the glasses were being made, we walked around the mall for about an hour. We also stopped at the food court for a pretzel. Then we only had about a 10 minute wait when we went back for the glasses.
I think that Bill might have a case of bronchitis. He's coughing his head off. I've been giving him benadryl, but it's not really working. It's more for allergies anyway. I am going to suggest a doctor visit to him, but we all know that he won't go willingly. He was already off tomorrow for President's Day.
Otter originally had tomorrow off as well, but school will be in session to make up for the 2nd ice day that went over their built-in days. The first make-up day was in January.
It rained all day yesterday and part of today, then the sun came out mid-afternoon. It is still kind of cool but not cold. I hope that we are past all the winter weather, but you never know. We could still get hit with it, I just don't want anymore of it.
