Springtime in Oklahoma!

No doubt about it.

It does get interesting, to say the least!

The time of year generally referred to as "Season" normally runs from the end of March until about the end of May/early June,  This year, since it was so cool so much longer than normal it's different.  It's the end of May and Season should be ending.  Instead, we may only be in the middle of it.  Instead of the end of May, we may be looking at end of June/early July!

Today was another day of possibilities and bad chances.  There were two different storm systems that were possible problems for us, one went on north of Tulsa and the other one looked to be heading the same way.  Then, it did what storms sometimes do - it turned right or east and that brought Tulsa into the firing line for a storm that had already produced at least two small funnels.  Wall clouds are where the funnels come from, funnels are also known by a couple of other names:  twisters or tornados.  Fortunately, by the time the storm was hitting downtown Tulsa it had weakened a bit so instead of tornados it "just" produced a lot of rain and hail.  We are near Tulsa and we got some rain but nothing bad.  Tulsa dodged a potentially big, bad bullet today.

Bi-polar weather for sure!
