We went to the other Sear's store and Otter tried on several shirts, but she only wound up with 2. But they are cute and that gives her 4 new ones to start school with so she's happy. We went to a few other places but didn't find anything. It was still somewhat crowded, but not nearly as bad as Friday afternoon was.
I spent $69.46 total, which includes Bill's jeans and a couple of things for me. We saved $5.92 which isn't a lot, but it all adds up at the end! And it was fun to go shopping. Just hard on the feet!
(Of course, the fact that we mowed the lawn this morning might have something to do with my sore feet.)
Otter now has a new decorative item in her room. Grandpa gave her a traffic cone. You know, the tall, orange, rubber kind that you see in the street to indicate areas to keep out of. Being that she is very much her father's daughter, her first words were "COOL! This will be neat in my room!" No idea what she'll use it for, but she'll find something.
The reason I said that she's her father's daughter regarding the traffic cone is family history. For several years in Texas, we had our own business. We painted parking lots. The politicaly correct term is "pavement markers" but I'm not politicaly correct. The actual name of the business is Striping, which is frequently mis-pronounced as Stripping. There is a difference! But it makes for some fun jokes.
And school starts Wednesday!

Our tax free weekend is in 2 weeks. I plan to go to the outlet mall. Last year there were not too many people shopping there, but who knows this year. This is the weekend right before most of the public schools, community colleges and UTSA start.
Scooter always loved the traffic cones when he was younger. Froggy
