Today would have been our Dad's birthday. If I'm right on my addition, he would have been 90 today. Dad had a huge sweet tooth, and peanut M&M's were about his favorite candy. I think Blues & Greens is what he called them. I'm possibly off on which colors, but that is what we've always called then in his memory. He had a glass pitcher that he kept in the cabinet under the bar at his & Mom's house and all the grandkids knew where they were. He joked about his candy being eaten, but Dad had a good laugh out of it. And he really did love peanut m&m's.
We eat them in his honor/memory every Sept. 15. Otter is allergic to chocolate, but she can have it occasionally and in small doses. She's been avoiding it so that she can have some tonight.
On second thought, we're not waiting for after dinner. After all, Dad wouldn't have!

Dad ate them at all times of the day. He really loved them. His favorite thing was to accuse one of us that we had eaten all of them. He always had some that he hid so if the jar was empty he still had some. He also kept them in his shirt pocket so when we left the house he had some with him. Froggy
