Who knew that there was an official day set aside for Texas lifeblood? We certainly didn't.
But, now that we do know, we of course had it for dinner. I used the following recipe:
Bill gave blood at work today, so I decided that he needed to recoup some iron and that meant that we had beef chili today and not made from ground turkey. Specifically, we had ground sirloin! It was so good, I use hot rotel and more chili powder than the law allows.
My sinus headache that I've been fighting all day is clearing up rapidly.
Guess it's all that chili powder.
Can't complain about that!
