The Quilt is Finished!!!!

We did a little creative recycling.

Remember all those maternity fatigues that Bill found in the dumpster at the school for unwed teenagers? The ones that were donated to the school, then the school threw them in the trash. Then they told Bill he could have them. We sold a few on eBay, we donated a boatload of them, Otter and I each picked out one of the shirts to use as jackets and then we had a bajillion trash bags full of them just sitting in the garage.
Bill finally found a use for them. He turned them into a quilt. He cut squares until his hands nearly fell off, then he bought 4 yards of another camo pattern to use as a backing, then he discovered that he didn't have enough squares to make the size quilt he wanted so the additional fabric also got cut into squares and sewn in to the quilt. He bought a green leaf-pattern fabric for the actual back.
He finished it today. It turned out very well. It's also going to be a very warm blanket.

Please note that we have a model in the last two pictures. She is holding up a sign she made, it says "I'm invisible" and in the last one, she nearly is! Except for the socks, that is. the jacket she's wearing is one of the original fatigues, the pants are the ones we bought her months ago and she wears them all the time.
