Step one: Order a laptop computer.
Step two: Order a carrying case.
Step three: Ensure that the said teenager/student is the one home when the FedEx guy delivers the computer and make her sign for it.
Step four: Instruct her to leave the box in the floor and not open it until Dad gets home.
Step five: Open the box with the carrying case first.
Step six: Remind her that she can't use it until Dad creates the recovery disk.
Step seven: Remind her that she can't use it until Dad has installed the gps/theft tracking device.
Step eight: Take your sweet time doing all of the above!
Step nine: Milk it for all it's worth, she'll do just about anything you ask if she thinks that will speed you up. :)
